Example of tuning: PV / S40

Recipe:
A 531 header (STAGE 5) with 48/40 valves, special camshaft lifts 14.3, longer & larger valve depressors.
Engine block: New from factory, B230 turbo 1992.
Bore: 97.2mm.
Stroke: 89.85mm.
Volume: 2665cc.
Rods: Steel, modified length.
Crankshaft: Steel. Balanced seperately and pinned with the flywheel.
Flywheel: Lightened about 5kg.
Transmission: Twin plate clutch with sinter-plates.
Ignition and injection: Hestec. Doublespark without distributor.


The machine pulls evenly strong from 0 rpm up to well over 7000 rpm! The faster the gear change the better performance.

Sample values: At 3900 rpm the torque is 305NM/170Hp. At 5100 rpm the torque has increased to334NM/243Hp. A steady torque is given all through to maxium rev. For example at 6000 rpm 328NM/281Hp, 6600 rpm 313NM/294Hp Max power at 6840 rpm was 302Hp/303NM!!

This measurement was performed without having drivven the engine through it's starting mileage so the actual power is even higher!
